Have a few questions for you...

Firstly, about the interior dye. How many cans of what size did you need?

Second, You may know Im considering changing the colour of my car. I want to do this properly, as in I want to do the engine bay also. You have it all sitting there, how hard do you think it would be to paint the bay with the engine in place, but intake removed? All those lines and so on running across the firewall, can they be removed for painting behind them?

Looking great, nice work there. glad you cleaned up the bay, will look good when its all back in!

Dan re re painting the engine bay, when I took my engine and AC out like Justin, there was still loads left to strip, lots of wiring, brake and steering stuff, I would only consider it, if I was doing a full nut and bolt re build like mafix. Its possible, but I would say it would add a lot of time. I think some of the parts bolt though the bulkhead into the space behind the dash, but I may be wrong.

When I did Mine I. Bought 2 12oz Can, But I only Used One... And That covered the Dash, Door Panels, and A pillars,. Basically every vinyl piece. I did three coats on each.

Now as for the BAy, you could remove all that stuff, But Like Rich said, It would be A lot of extra time.. What i have heard and seen ppl do with Paintin their engine bays, is they cleaned up everything in the bay, even all the the hard lines.
Then they go thru and tape off things that they dont want painted.(IE.steering rack, brake master cylinder) or what ever you dont want paint... ... and then just paint the rest..... It is easier then unbolting everything , Unlesss you plan on replaceing it all..

Didnt think of that man. Coz theres no need to paint behind that stuff, u wont c it hey! Im a dumbshit at times lol. Thanx heaps. Il find out how much 12oz is. Also, can you use this stuff on the fabric?

I wana start my doing my steering wheel, the leather has faded, then do the whole interior black once i master it. Including seats and carpet and in the boot too. Reckon itd work? How many cans then? haha.

    Thanks alot man.

IF i remember right, I think that it is like $13 for the 12oz can of the SEM color coat vinyl dye.....
For the Fabric you will Need to get fabric dye should be bout the same price...
yeah it will work, But i dont no how the carpet will turn out, i would just spend the money and get actual black carpet. Everything else will work thou..
I would think that you would only need like 1 can maybe 2 cans of the vinyl dye and maybe 2 cans of fabric dye, thats if you decide to buy black carpet, if you dont decide to buy the carpet then you may need 3 cans of fabric dye....
When you do it Just make sure to take your time and do Thin even coats. and wait bout 15 minutes between each coat..

BTW; when you go to do the Vinyl stuff make sure to wax and grease remover to clean all the vinyl before you dye it..

Here is a picture of the Vinyl dye and the wax and grease remover that i used
