I just ordered the stuff to make polyurethane bushings to replace ALL of them in my suspension. I should have enough left over for at least 2 sets of front and back motor mounts. I will have to get the mounts from the wreckers in order to replace the rubber with the polyurethane. I will charge $65 USD plus shipping for these mounts...The supplies will be here in 2 weeks then I will do my repairs and let you guys know how much urethane I have left! First come first serve! if there are any other mounts/bushings you want let me know. I'm going to make the rear differential bushing as well for anyone with an alltrac. But I will need your old one to modify it so the turn around would be a while.
How much do you think shipping on a front and rear would be to Australia? I'm having trouble finding any decent mounts around here!
Not really sure. I guess it just depends on how much they weigh when they are done...what is your ZIP/postal code? if that's what you use out there.... EDIT: looks like it would be approx $80USD through USPS and would take 3-5 business days.
Polyurethane is in! I will be pouring engine mounts only with this batch of polyurethane and will wait on doing my bushings. I'm just hoping to get a couple of people interested. I can also do any other car motor mounts as long as the mounts are available at the local wreckers for me to replace the rubber with Poly. Let me know if you guys are interested.
I used PMC- 790 for mine when I did them. No problems so far except their pretty hard but mine were a Shore A hardness rating of 90 and your going a bit softer so you'll get less engine vibration but the only time I notice it is while idling.
So this has been put on hold...I didn't realize what the working temp was. It is way too cold in my garage at this time of the year so I will be waiting until spring to make and sell these.
Sorry, I could do them in the house but I want to wait until I get a couple people wanting them because once the containers are opened the shelf life gets shortened.
If I can start getting a list of people who want them maybe I will do a batch of them in my house. I need to see what I can pull from the local wreckers though. If anyone has any bad engine mounts they want to get rid of I will gladly take them!
