Yesterday at pick n pull I discovered an Ebay 5SFE chrome header in a 5th gen celica. So for $30 I took it home to test it out.

    Here is the results:

Since I have a CA spec car, I mounted both o2 sensors. No CEL.

Unfortunately I snapped the lower right exhaust bolt :( so I'm using a bandaid approach and used a thick metal S bracket and torqued it down with the bolt that holds the coolant pipe below the exhaust manifold. Seems to hold just fine and no exhaust leaks that I can tell. I'll have to most likely drill out the bolt and retap it.

    Nice find!
Pacesetter headers? One of the better 4-1's with a correct firing order (cyl's fire in a circle to create a vortex and better suction)
I hope you didn't hurt yourself lifting the anchor (FE) headers out:)

    Yours looked like this?

OBX looks similar, but longer primaries

Not the OBX one, slightly different. Most likely this one or similiar:

Yes lifting that exhaust manifold a headache and getting the lower o2 sensor off was an even bigger headache. Now I still have a broken bolt in there I'll be fixing today. I drove her around yesterday with no exhaust leak noises and she was loud as hell. Roars like crazy from underneath the hood. I also don't have the hood liner anymore.

so a 5SFE header will fit my 3SFE with no modification at all? I have found 3SFE headers on ebay, but are more expensive than 5SFE ones..
