well, i went to the junk yard today and was lucky to find a 6th gen and another 4th :sad ... but anyways! im bringing this up because the 202 rear hub setup is actually a 1/2' to 3/4' longer at the bottom than the 162s where the bars and bushings go.... wouldnt this drastically put our cars out of alignment? and because its longer, wouldnt mean it wont fit? i mean, alwayz has already done this to his former 165. thats the things too! its the 165 not the 162. its must a little bigger, but that can make or break a project. dont want to get the 202 setup if its a set back. i would be down $$$ and parts. on a good note, everything else will line up, including the brake lines  its just the bottom rear end im worried about stig, mafix, dave.. suggestions? :bowdown
Hey so did I, I found 2 5th gens a gt and a gts and a 7th gen all automatics :aargh but the 5th gen gts did have the system 10 in it so I grabed the emblems. It still had the amp under the passenger seat so I'll probably go back and grab it and its harness unfortunately the speakers were toast I don't really know much about the suspension, all I know is I have a ST205 rear subframe waiting to go on my ST165 ST165, 185, 205 rear sub frames and rear diffs are all interchangeable. ST185RC & ST205 rear diffs are limited slip. Unfortunately I don't know if ST16x ST18x & ST20x struts & hubs are interchangeable. I do know the strut mounts are different so at the very least you would have to change them. 1/2 - 3/4 of an inch doesn't seem like very much of a difference. When I was a young lad your car wasn't cool unless you had big fat mags on the back and the ass end jacked up 6+ inches. So you can just imagine what that did to the alignment. So that probably wasn't much help but thats all I know.
lol entertaining short story there dave! appreciate the help and advise though. at least you see a gt-s at the yards. all i ever see are the base models...
Yeah. Drive down to San Diego, have all Cali st162ers meet up, and feast on the 4+ GTS's at a local junkyard.
