ive seen lots of vids where u can here the turbo spooling and just wondering how they do that. ive recently replaced the piping frm the cat to the muffler. it means, everything frm the intake to the cat is stock. my muffler is 5 in 1-10 loudness. but even with the stock exhaust b4, no sound whatsoever frm the turbo.. any ideas? heres a quick pic of my muffler. magnaflow somthing somthing.. lol! i dunno if that makes any difference??? cheers!
because the ct26 is a good reliable turbo but not exactly the most effecient. the factory intercooler sucks, the intake is very restrictive.
so all of those said affects and made it all quiet? ughr! i guess i wont ever hear my turbo spooling.. lol! tnx mafix!
stock boost isn't all that much and by the time it spools, all other noises drowns it out. Get a boost controller so you can push the boooost a little more - I bet you'll hear it then -K
My tubby has really only become properly tuneful, will get a vid on my phone for ya, with the following mods: 3" Downpipe, no cat Straight intake No AFM Custom airbox Straight out of the box as said they are pretty quiet. Even when I replaced the stock air box and removed the resonator with a Blitz SUS induction filter, I really did not see any increase in intake noise. Pipe looks sweet on the car though!
Yeah but thats right behind your head lol, even a NA MR2 sounds manic coz you are so close to the motor.
