Transfering the battery to the rear issues?

If I were to transfer the battery the rear of the car wouldn't it need an exhaust? Say I grab a marine box and put it in the back it need some sort of exhaust, as I've been repeatedly told. My BMW X5's huge battery has this straw type of thing connected to it's battery, and the straw probably leads somewhere outside the car. What type of battery or how will I incorporate this to the battery?

If you're using a conventional battery, yes. Must vent it outside of the car otherwise you'll be getting battery acid smell/all over the car.

Get a sealed battery (IE Optima red/yellow/blue/etc). You won't need to vent this type of battery.

In my project thread I showed how I relocated Jasmine's battery to the cargo area.
