Okay i just got my Best friends old car. Its a 86 GTS. I traded My BF Rob ( speedDemon) my 87 for it. Well anyway it likes to pop out of gear alot., exspecially 2nd,4th and reverse. I dont no y it is doing it. I think that i may need a new tranny But i wanted to get other ppls input before i rushed to get a new one, just to make sure it was just something little that was causing the problem. what is going on with it?
mines popping outta 2nd and 3rd sometimes when i back off down a hill at slow speeds... its hell annoying, so im putting a s54 tranny in
drain it and run full synthetic 75w90 gear oil in there...it will help a bit but ultimately your tranny is fuxored
yes i do come for a drive its a gt-s tranny that i got from some guy when he gave me a 5sfe, i messed up the seal plate on teh driver side so im missing the bolts but u can take that off yours or w/e ill take pics if u want i also has a brand new denso clutch
