    GELC=usdm and some euro. egr and o2
    GEL=euro high comp. no egr no o2
    GELU=jdm. no egr has o2

    My valve cover only says GE... Unless the LU part is left out or something, I don't think the American '162's have the GELU...

    I think, according to that wikipedia image and Gran Turismo, that the GELU only came in the GTR models.

    Sofar Jon is correct but I already know about the EGR

    All valve covers are marked 3S-GE or GTE, for some reason not all have YAMAHA - know why?
