Thats an excellent idea Wolf (Roy)

The big problem is the bonnet (weight/size) and the lights were only made for RHD, these models are JDM only and are f/n scarce now.....
To think I sold mine for $1 :banghead

Bruce helped me sort my rear Teins today and I took some pics of the logos on his car for reference for the sticker kits I'm making.
Every car I look at is different?

My rears are in and I have positive rear camber even with the guards over the wheels, in the pic yours looks like the same problem?

To be honest Bruce I think there is too much air going under the bonnet and letting it all out may be a problem.
If it were mine Id fit the 205 vent and another A-A intercooler over the head, just to cool the air some more?
Depends if you want lag and mega boost or response

projector retrofit those lights :p they would be much easier than doing it for flip up lights like i've had to

You can't - it's the glass thats made RHD or LHD and the EU etc is very strict on lenses

well...I could change it for the yearly inspection of course if it's really not that much work ! I think it looks real cool and retrofit projectors was what I thought too at first but indeed the glass...

It's hard to find parts, the only corona I found was on yahoo auctions and we can't buy there from the netherlands :(

Yeah the aren't too easy to find here either. Maybe I should start buying them up to sell overseas!!

Stig, I want response first and foremost. I have a plan for the bonnet venting. I made some vents about a year and half ago to try and fit into my previous vented bonnet, (See below), with a little work on the old bonnet. I am going to use them in my new bonnet. Dont panic they look nothing like those holes in my old bonnet!

This is my surge tank. The pre filter, high pressure pump and post filter are tucked in the cavity behind it.

Here are the earlier ducting photos so you can actually see them.

Another view. The idea is ALL the air that goes into the front opening HAS to go through the cooler.

This where the air comes out. The venturi effect off the wheel will also help "pull" the air through.

and yes, if you find a corona let me know ;)

Like I said this is one HELL of a car

Just the work and materials alone are worth more than most of the cars on the site, and the quality ......
You got to compare welds and panels with Bimota's, Ferrari's and other exotics

I have an idea for a splitter I've been playing with, the splitter is basically to protect the motor but also to suck air out underneath and clean up the airflow underneath which loosely speaking is a mess - esp on the GT4's

are they based on actual performance of the lights or are they based on the fact that lenses have to stay untouched from oem (same as canada here)?

cuz projectors don't care what the lenses are in there as it's the projector that determines LHD/RHD beam

They work on the glass markings
It's the pattern in the glass that throws the light right or left so it would affect anything behind it

    okay okay

    copied over:
the glass lens (similar to our flip up oem sealed beams) have the directional lines on the glass itself instead of the reflector behind it (which is now commonplace)

the beam prior to the glass lens is equivalent left and right. the only difference is a "step" or "flare" on either the left (for RHD) or the right (for LHD) for what's called "squirrel finding". those "flares" are used in halogen EU and "steps" for USDM assemblies to aim a higher beam towards the street signs. the important thing here is that the only variation in LHD/RHD headlights is vertical differences at different horizontal axis points. there is no "throwing" the light left and right.

projectors come in LHD/RHD form, and they have their own cut/step/flare in the projector housing itself. the reason why a glass lens in front of the projector won't be affected is because there won't be ANY light to diffuse down above a certain point where normally they would be diffused down from the reflector.

the only set back in projectors sitting behind ANY diffusing glass headlights is that the cut off may not be as sharp, there may be a slight fade (think oem bmw cut off, it's not sharp, but noticable) instead of a sharp cut (mine)

    Throw = bend

Makes no sense to me as the outer glass would still fail MOT
I had a friend there with 2 LH side lights and he got failed because it lit the wrong areas of the chart
It cleary states which side and also there's no "E" mark on these

there is NO light TO bend/throw. the key here is that the "bending/throwing" part of the glass is there to diffuse HALOGEN beams that are uncontrolled. with the whole projector assembly, you already cut the light off before any reaches the part of the glass that would normally diffuse light.

you can put a RHD projector in a LHD headlight and pass the light chart test in any RHD country in the world. hell you can put it in a jar, flower pot, water bottle, starbucks cup and it will still pass.

I don't think it's a Honda badge, the Corona model must had it's own unique badge, just like the Celica has the dragon.

Ha ha ha. Dont panic it is definitely NOT a Honda badge! It is the shape that is molded into the grill for the Corona badge to mount to. I've got something to cover it up but only once the car is mobile and I've got the bugs ironed out aka "The finishing touch"

In the photo it does look like one though!!
