jdm ecu, the next step?

I am trying to find out where I can get a JDM 3sge ecu. How much do they run?

I know this has been posted about before, but I want to know where I can find one because I need to find somthing more aggressive to help make my current mods work to their full capacity. I couldnt find much on the site about it, and past threads were not very informative other than it has more aggressive maps/timing, and no o2.

    Here is my current setup:

-Intake (just an adapter on the maf w/filter for now, will be chaning this setup soon)
-2nd gen 3sge header (4-2-1) w/o2 welded in just behind the motor before the flexpipe (wanted to use the jdm ecu to eliminate this)
-strait 2.25 exhaust with 1 resonator and a dual tip muffler, yes, strait as in no cat.
-FE transmission (currently off car to get rebuilt)
-6 puck disk and heavier pressure plate
    -10lb flywheel
    -charcoal canister delete
    -egr delete
    -ac delete

I love this setup. its way too much fun running through the gears, and with the header it sounds way better.

Let me know where I can possibly find one of these ecu's. Thanks

    JDM =
    no speed limiter
    no rev limiter
    no egr
    only a 1 wire o2 (not none)
tuned for different fuel which for us means a little more timing and more aggressive mapping. we are talking very little HP gain.

yeah we tried the JDM ecu on my celica on the dyno... i think it was overall worse if not exactly the same... i have a mildly modified 1st gen 3sge and it made hardly any difference... brogan (XR_Pilot on the forums) has one laying around i think... hopefully he see's this or just PM him...

I did not know US ecu was speed limited. I went well over 140mph.
no rev limiter? whats it supposed to rev to?

speed limit between 140 and 150mph, rev limit at 6200-6400 IIRC

I maxed out the 120mph spedometer in my gts (I swapped it w my 150mph cuz its a bit more realistic)

It went around and between the m and p in the MPH under the dial, physically stopped moving but the car still accelerated, I even backed off till the speedo fell a little bit then got back on it and it stopped again. can you beleive I did this with the stock manifold (before the header)?

everything counts. I dont mind running premium, this is my fun car, I want more agressive timing, but I want a ecu programed with that in mind, not a us ecu. Then again, the cost has to reflect the gain otherwise I can put it towards better things, like lighter seats.

I guess I am looking for someone who wants to get rid of one they are not using because I dont know where to get one.

Of all 3 gt-s' I've owned, they never had a rev limiter...

cad must have a different ecu then. how high have you revved them rye?

My 3sge hits the rev limiter at the red line, 7300 RPM. I thought they all would.

ive gone past redline a few times wiht no limiter to be found. seriously you cant rev to redline at all with a ge? or just in 5th

it depends on the ecu. and it can be in neutral. you don't have to be in gear. there are 2 versions of the 2 ecus. you have usdm and jdm. then gen 1 and gen 2. all 89's are gen 2 and there may be a difference in those.
