Hi all, Never posted here yet, but I really need some assistance. I have an 86 GT-S prod date 11-85. I have an ATK P/N 328A 3sge crate motor I am trying to get installed and I am running in to numerous problems. I have done much searching, and found my first problem is the oil pan. My original has the earlier style one with holes at the rear main seal end. It will not work with the rear main seal retainer in the ATK eng. This is the type that requires the later oil pan. No big deal, I am getting a new style pan from rock auto, (although it is weird how the new syle does not leak without the extra hold down nuts?)The issue is the ATK engine is clearly a later internal EGR style, while my original has the external EGR setup. My question is can I use my current injectors, ECU, flywheel etc with this ATK engine and not have running problems? I am frustrated, and need to get this done ASAP. Thanks so much.
