Hey guys I've been looking into doing a wire tuck and battery relocation on my gen 4.

Now my question is, if I extend wires on my loom is it going to affect how my car runs ?

Also tips, diagrams, photos and/or advice on the tuck would be a great help thanks in advance

One thing you should keep in mind is resistance.
If you are going to be mounting your fuses/relays/battery in the back make sure you have the proper size wire to carry the current.

Also and I can not stress this enough ..

Take lots of pictures and document what wires went to each connector before you start cutting!

This will save you lots of time and frustration later on.

also your not going to be able to keep the color codes the same so i advise labling your wires with some masking tape. write on it what wire it is supposed to be and where it is supposed to go to. like this.... blue/black, tps, no2...... blue is the main color of the wire, black is the stripe, tps means throttle positioning sensor, and no2 means wire number two. draw a quick sketch of the wire end of the plug making a note of where the top of it is and on the drawing lable the prongs 1-4 or 1-3 or however many wires it has along with the color codes of those wires. Also i advise doing it one plug at a time and of course dont use crimp connectors. Solder the wires together where you need a connection and use heat shrink tubing to seal it up.

good luck and let us know how it goes.:compress:

If I go ahead with it I'll definitely put up a thread
