    Don't do it, it's pointless.

And you have posted the thread in wrong section.

I agree, chiptuning any N/A engine is a waste of money.

upgrading to a jdm ecu is pretty much the same thing. but you gotta block the egr

I'm pretty sure the factory ecu can't be chipped. You could use a piggyback computer like a GReddy e-Manage or an Apexi SAFC, but with no other mods to the engine they would provide very little improvement and wouldn't really be worth the money. I wouldn't bother with the nitrous either, you'll turn an already fragile motor into a grenade.

agreed. i've seen a GTS and Alltrac have nitrous in them....in the junkyard.

both engines were damaged beyond repair. it's sad because the alltrac would have made more power turning up the boost/spending money on fmic/ebc/wideband/dyno time instead of using nitrous.

I am currently running a 2-stage 50+50 shot. (100 total) and I beat it as hard as possible! I also have a fully buillt Gen1 GE. When I get money again, or if- I am going to get Kelford race cams and a 150-175 shot with a dyno re-tune. I use an Accell DFI system for engine and nitrous control.

Just plan on spending a LOT of money! I love my Celica, but had I known what I would end up spending, I would have done a different engine option. I probably could of had a 1000hp fox body Mustang for what I have into my Celica.
