can you put a ecu from 1986-7 celica into an 1988 because i have a powerchipped ecu that is for 1987 model these ecus are both australian market ecus thanks kev
if you have brown injectors on your car it should be plug n play. -edit: as i've yet to see a chipped stock ecu, could you PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE, take a pic of the board inside the ecu?????
sorry man its already in ecu that ends in 110 can be used in celicas with 320 at the end, engine runs more smoother (mapped for 98 octane) and more top end power.
I don't see why not, you may want to use the engine harness from the 86-87 and you may need to use the 86-87 injectors and some sensors, I've seen people un 5th gen engines off 4th gen ECU's. In the north american market the only real differences I can think of between 86-87 & 88-89 3sge engines is different injectors, O2 sensor is moved from exhaust manifold to just in front of the cat and the EGR is moved from the exhaust manifold to the cylinder head
