The license plate bulbs are type 89. Here's a pic of some info I downloaded years ago.

North American Celica convertible Center High Mount Stop Light bulb is type 922.

    i forgot that bulb...damn!

what i did was take a festoon LED, twist the metal so it holds that in place. make sure you electrical tape anything that may short out. it worked great for me for the 2 years i had it

Am looking at replacing HVAC backlights with T3 Neo wedge. Seller has warning on their site that vehicle fitted with CANBUS will need resistor mod. Does anyone know if this is the case with 162s?

    boot/ trunk Light

I cant for the life of me find a light for my boot/ trunk. Is it possible there isnt one or can someone direct me to where it is supposed to be? Its a convertible, but wouldnt have thought that makes much difference.

Mines on the opposite side of where the number plate is - on the "inner" wall, directly down if you we're looking into the boot from the back.
It has a little toggle switch, doesn't light up with the boot lid. 89 hatch.

If you're struggling to find it, sounds more likely you don't have one... I think it'd be hard to miss
