Im new here and i figure this is the best place to post my questions. I would like to convert my rear drums to rear discs. I have a 87 toyota celica st. I still need to install the motor and tranny, but I am very intrested in conveting the brakes. Any help is appriciated.

i believe you'll need the rear brakes from a fx16 or sr5 corolla to stay 4 lug.
gts brakes from a gts for 5 lug
you'll also need the rear spindles from either choice.

Ok, so if i can get there in time, I found a 88 GTS with all 4 discs (5 lug) Just need to pull the parts for the conversion. Also, It still has a 3SGE engine in it, would that be worth pulling too? I have no way of testing it, I just saw it there.

can you get the whole car? sometimes they will sell you the whole car as long as it is being torn down.

Nope the will not sell the whole car, here in GA the pull-a-parts will sell you everything off the car but will not sell the car or the stripped down frame, kinda stupid but a friend and I argued with the manager we even offered him like $200 for a stripped down frame and he still said no, I guess the get pretty good money from the scrap yard for the cars remains.

Ya i know its been a while, but Ive been in the middle of a divorce so i have not had a lot of time on my hands. sorry.
