Blower resistor

I'm trying to locate the blower resistor on my 88 GTR, I've got the radio and cubby out and it's not where it should be leading into the airbox.

I've lost the low settings for my fan and there is a resistor pack shown on all the diagrams but it must be hidden somewhere,
I've checked on a few Camrys and Coronas and they all have it just after the fan motor behind the cubby

There is a photovoltaic unit mounted on top of the dash in the far corner - what does it do? Doesn't seem to make any difference if I disconnect it? Or is it part of the "auto" circuit

It's just behind the fan motor, behind the glove box. It's held in by one screw and looks like this:

Thanx, bummer it doesn't look like any of the ones I salvaged
The later cars have a huge heatsink with some power transistors on it, can only be an improvement on those tiny coils?

Let me guess - the smallest coil is for the low setting? Are they available new?

Dunno much about it, I assume the smallest is the lowest setting but not sure. The Camrys and Coronas maybe use a different resistor or maybe it's different on the NZ version?

My buddy had the same prob with his Liteace and the small coil had crumbled away, the liteace one looked very similar to ours

Toyota still sell them in the UK if you have trouble locating one?

Sorry, late reply but that pic I posted is from the push button type, not cable.

Here's a pic for those having difficulty finding it

    Mine looked like this

Carefull as there are many variations of this plug

These are the later solid state types found in Camry, 182, 202 etc, I'd like to mod one to work

hmmmm it shouldnt be too hard to mod if theres still six pins should it??? ohnoes

I wish, some have 4,5 or 6 and the wires need to be metered to figure which is which

it would be so much better because that one from the gtr looks seriously flimsy!!!

^That's why my fan's low speed doesn't work

Does any one know what the resistance is of the small coil?
If so we may beable to use a huge resistor or similar?

Odd, I didn't see the resistance values in the BGB, just this test method:
