    Hi Team,
This morning on the first rainy day here in SoCal I got a split second flash of the various warning lights. This almost always (in my experience) has meant alternator time. This time the AC lite started blinking. The charging system seems ok. I kept driving and all was fine except no compressor so no decent defroster.
After lunch I went out and started it up and all's ok. I think that the belt may have been slipping a bit causing the flashes like on my friends 5th gen Celi ...
    Any thoughts??

Sounds like a sketchy connection that needs dialectic grease ...

I'm gonna tighten my serpentine belt when the rain ceases. I put new belts on a couple months ago so I suspect that it's a bit slack

i've had the blinking before when there wasn't enough refrigerant inside the system. there was enough to start the compressor, but gets too low when it's running, compressor turns off, light starts blinking.

    SOLVED
I duplicated the senario on my way home. It happened again when i hit a big puddle. The alt lights came on for a split second then the AC lights flashed.
That proved to me that it was a slipping belt which was one of the possible causes.
Next day I adjusted it and all is well. Charging at 14 volts at idle. (Runs better w/ the 70 amp alt).
The compressor stays on, no bubbles in sight window. Readjusted idle hold steady at 725 rpm with or w/out AC on...

All is good for a while.
