Amount Of Oil?

    Just wondering how much oil it takes to go from empty to full after an oil change. I am going to do my oil change today and I got a 4L jug and I want to know how much oil I am going to have left.

    your car should take about 4.6 - 4.8 litres of oil... thats if its completly empty... a "dry fill"

    lol dammit - I only have 4L of that $9 5W-30 oil I got from Wal-Mart...I knew I should have gotten more. :x

    ^Remember that's a dry fill Jon was referring to. On a regular wet fill, there's still some oil in your system. I find that a 4L jug is enough for me on a wet fill.

    Well my brother picked up one bottle of 5W-30 and one bottle of 10W-30 while I was in the hospital. I should have gotten 2 of each - damn.

    ^IIRC, Formula 1 is a blended oil with synthetic, not a full synthetic. Double-check the label, the wording is peculiar.
