Any of you who have pulled the motor and tranny on an all trac know how much of a PITA it is. Iam having difficulty getting my tranny to go back on . It lines up but it just wont slip on, i turned the flywheel while pushing it on and it didnt slip onto the shaft, is there some kind of little trick to getting it on, and do i need to swap over anything from my american GTE onto my JDM one? any emission garbage, i dont need it here but will it run ok without it.

    hey toyrunner

finaly someone who is going through the same pain as i am. Heres a little trick, take your engine and VERY CAREFULLY put it on its side. The side with the timing belt. Put a rug or carpet under it so it doesn't slide. Now take your hoist and hook some chains to the tranny where the mounts are. Now lift the tranny and drop it onto your engine and wala!!!!!!!

It will take some messing around and ect.. but it will go one. The only reason mine didn't was because my clutch was the wrong one(damn you ultrarev.com) With this method you can do it by yourself, its very easy.

    Have fun

I GOT MINE ONE YES!!!!!!!!!! i got a new clutch disk from autozone and it fit so i atempted to put my trans on. I did it jus tlike i said before. It was having alot of trouble at first but i noticed that the thingy that the passanger side axle bolts into was getting in the way so i i just pulled and it poped out, lol. that made it alot easier and it just droped right on with a bit of effort.
