found some adjustable rear control arms and trailing arms for a st184, I was wondering if anyone knows if it will bolt up on the st162 control arms https://technotoytuning.com/toyota/st184/rear-control-arms-st184-celica trailing arms https://technotoytuning.com/toyota/st184/rear-trailing-arms-st184-celica
The control arms should fit, but you'll still have to eliminate the cam bolt inboard adjuster just like I had to do with the '94 control arms I used on my car...... As for the rear trailing arms, not sure if they would be work due to the double shear mounting at the base of the rear hub spindles on our 162 chassis. racerb :eng101
The easiest thing for our cars is to buy a kit like this one and add your own tubing of the proper length. Any good welder could fix these right up for you, just need to add some tapered spacers to center them in the mounting pickup points......http://www.ebay.com/itm/4-LINK-1-2-x-1-2-20-ROD-END-KIT-WITH-BUNGS-HEIM-JOINTS-/390464485621 racerb
Find some tubing to match the diameter of the threaded bung inserts and cut it to match the length of you existing control arms, center of bushing hole to bushing hole. Take the whole thing to a local metal fabricator and have them weld it all up for you, just make sure you have a left hand thread and a right hand thread bung on each control arm. By doing what I just described, you can just turn the center of the control arm to adjust in and out for toe adjustment. racerb
