so i finally finished trashing the drivers front wheel bearing. after long thoughts today, i know when i first damaged it. it was way back when i was drag racing and snapped the stock e series outer cage. that took a long time to catch up to me. but man did it fix some stupid issues i was having.

I have a question what did you use for your seat bracket??? I have seat bracket for our car and I think I have the same racing seat you have. And that seat is a drag seat were it mounts from the bottom of the seat. I am sitting high and I can't go lower. If I wanted to put a roll-cage I don't think it will fit the top??? What did you use or how did you make your seat bracket??? [IMG]

I modified my brackets to sit lower.
also I used the bottom mounts not the side mounts. you can as well and that will gain you an inch.

How did you modify it?? Did you cut it??? I used like an L shape metal bracket to hold and be able to adjust and short sliders...[IMG]

Do you have a pic or something so I can get a concept on how you modified it.

so i feel like i should do a summation post. please dont get me wrong, i loved my celica, but life changes material things. and sometimes things need a drastic change to make things fit. i have a beautiful wife and daughter, we just bought a new house, and now we have another on the way. an old celica with no creature comforts just wont fit in with all of this. now on to the pros and cons of nemesis!!
    pros
POWER!! nearly 400whp and 400wtq in the end.
grip. tons of it. double that on the slicks.
it was mine. you guys see what i've been through with it. and there wasn't many people who could drive her.
this car pushed all the 4g tech
i made lots of great lifetime friends
i won many things in this car. races that i should not have. championships that had no FWDs. she was a monster.

    cons
POWER!!! way way too much. it was nearly undrivable without the slicks on it.
when you did push too hard and lose grip, it wasn't forgiving at all and rather abrupt
MONEY. OMG i spent so much money.
i was so far ahead of the current 4g tech that i made many mistakes. some expensive ones, some time consuming ones
maintenance. never ending maintenance on a car that didn't get driven much (although when i did i was always pushing)
no heat and a/c. i know i did this. the price of being competitive
it got me in a lot of trouble. i was followed by the law most of the time i was out.
it had gotten to the point where i didn't enjoy it anymore. it was a monster. both for the good and bad. it's like owning a pet great white shark. on a leash. underwater. with a snorkel.
