would you be able to just take a 3s-fe motor and just shove in a 5s-fe? meaning keeping the ecu/wiring/trans, all of that stuff. reason is i have a option to buy a $300 replacement engine from one of these: 1987 camry 2.2l 210psi 1989 camry 2.0l 200psi 1992 camry 2.2l 180psi 1993 camry 2.2l 175psi 1990 celica 2.2l 180psi if not, what other supporting items do i need to go with the 5s to change my 3s over?
Don't see why not I'd keep the existing AFM, distributor and intake manifold though - just to avoid any problems tuning the new motor. Try to get the latest one - later models have better cams & heads psi readings look too high to me? 3S/5S are basically identical, 5S has a bigger piston and some more stroke
