Been on here for a while now (year and a half or so), so I figure it's time to introduce myself.

Some of you may recognize my pictures from the Facebook page or Offical 5th Gen Celica, if so, hi!

Plenty of more photos up on my instagram @southeast_celica

anywho, I'm actually in the middle of a build, and I'll probably just put updates in this thread as more parts come in.

Recently I installed a six puck clutch for no damn reason other than it was cheap, but I have just about every single image for every nut, bolt, washer, etc. Soon I'll be putting up a writeup on the Facebook page including torque specs.

Also, ignore the bead, I just put that on as a moisture barrier while I waited for the new pan.

Anywho, story time for whats been going on.

My car had the clutch go out after 170k miles (not bad, in my book), so I put it in a local shop where i could tinker with it while I collected more money to fix it. Well, aside from finding more and more things wrong with it, the people at the shop kept fucking with it, breaking stuff, tearing wires, loosing bolts, etc. while I was away.

    As of right now, I have replaced (in this period of time);
    Clutch/flywheel/pressure plate/throw out
    rear main seal
    CV axles
    oil pan gasket
    oil pan
    exhaust gaskets
    exhaust stud x1
most bolts related to a clutch job
    related washers, lock washers, etc
    front transmission mount
    crossmember bushings
    inner axle seals
    input shaft seal
    redid several grounds
repaired wiring for my radiator fans
    new tie rod ends
    new air filter
    new hood prop

I still need (to be "finished", not to drive)
    Valve cover gasket
    valve seals
    new PWS pressure lines
    new boots for the rack

Now, a lot of stuff was desperately needed, most was actually repairing damage thanks to the shop (I also need a new hood now), but a chunk of it was actually caused by a shop the previous owner took the car to. They were supposed to rebuild the transmission, but instead dissassembled half of it, realized it was a shifter cable issue, put on new shifter cables (with no bushings), didnt reassemble it/put bolts in finger tight and charged him for a transmission rebuild and let him drive off.

As you can imagine, this has caused a lot of wear and damage...

... and has caused me to do a lot of backtracking.

On the lighter side, I'll be installing a Gen2 3S-GTE here... eventually, whenever I'm done building it, an E150F converted to a LSD FWD transmission, Fortran Drag Valkyries with a 5x114.3 hub conversion, ST185 (1993 GTS) calipers (yet to purchace), BC coilovers (yet to purchace), Borla Pro XS muffler with deleted cat (YTP), and the rest of the exhaust is to be determined (why put together and exhaust set for an NA when im switching to turbo, yknow?)

But thats the current gist of that. I'll have pictures of that stuff sooner or later

Tires are around $140 apeice. Currently, for the wrong size r14 tires, I'm looking at $200 apeice. For the correct size, its around $260 apeice.

Well, its more than I expected, and more than I deserved, anyhow. After a few attempts I got it to run for a few seconds before dying, and decided to call it a night. Will be hitting it again in full force today.
