Ok it's dark (to dark to take photos), I'm tried and frustrated.

I'm 99% sure the reasons some weird is going on here has something to do with CC wiring.

I'm finishing putting the 3sge back in my 1987 GT-S and I've run into what seems like a ridiculous problem. The white speedometer sensor plug that comes off the speedo gear looks like it should plug into the similar shaped round plug that is in the right place on the wiring harness. However they insides of the two plugs don't line up, the plastic guides are different.

Am I missing some junction plug or something?

    ... :facepalm

It was backwards. I don't know if it was me, or my friend who helped me take the engine out but the prongs had been pulled out of the speed sensor plug and plugged in the other side.

    God help my car.

New question. Does anyone know which side the yellow wire goes in and which side the black/white stripe goes in?

BGB saves the day again. When looking into the speed sensor plug the black/white wire goes on the right side (to connect to the light blue wire harness side), and the yellow wire goes on the left side (to connect to the brown wire harness side)

    Good talk.
