Ok just a quick look at how the wheels will look on the car They will have white center caps with the toyota emblem in chrome to go with the chrome wheel nuts Also the calipers will be silver The wheel nuts and center caps which i will paint the backing in white opinions please guys
Wheel nut's I like, centre cap's they are for the new gen Toyota's the badge would not use that don't look very nice on our 4gen's the badge you got there next to the marker lamp that say's TRD that could look very nice for a centre cap the backing plate keep that heat resist black and for the calliper's try red I think it would look nicer that's my advice from what I think it will look nice no offence's please.
GT4 bumper now ready for paint or base coat and clear coat i should say. Can then turn her round and do the back bumper.
OK guys got the gt4 kit on and finished apart from the rear bumper it's proving a lot of work to fit the rear bumper due to shape of vert across the back. I also have some fog lights to go on the front.
OK guys finished fitting the gt4 kit on the vert. Got a few finishing touches, to do. Also she looked fairly clean until i got the T-cut and polish out.
Cheers mafix, Had to drop the gt4 rear bumper because of a total different shape across the back of the vert. Had to modify the vert bumper and the side panels that meet the rear bumper off the gt4 kit.
It is mate, also the back panel and the light panel protrude more on the gt4 as where on the vert it is virtually straight across.
I have to tell you fellow members of ST162.net that Shaun is rapidly mortyphying into something of a CELICA- GOD or GURU. He knows just about everything there is to know about our generation Celicas, even down to all the nuts and bolts. Great work as usual, can't wait to see your Celicas in the metal.
How are you applying your paint and what are you using? It looks very good and I need to do a lot of the same things on my '87 GTS project racecar, but have had issue matching my colors.... racerb
The bumpers i had enough paint left to use the spray gun but the rest of the kit was rattle cans. the clear coat was with the spray gun again Her first outing in 6 and a half months. Then the wife talked me into buying her some gifts for the vert.
A sad end to this car guys, My son drove her for a while and this is what has became of her. Gutted is an understatement but at least no one was hurt that's the main thing.
