  1. Hello fellow Celica bros and sis. I just picked up or should I say RESCUED at ST162 from getting junk'd! by a local stranger. It was a 1987 Toyota Celica GTS AKA DirtBag87. First he had it posted for $1000 obo. I test drove it and it ran fine. Offered him $800 and he took it. Told him I'll be back in a couple days with cash to pick up the car. Day after I test drove it. The car's passenger axle took a shit and he told me he wasn't selling it no more. He's going to junk it instead. So I told him I'll pick it up for whatever the junkyard is going to buy it for. So I got myself a dolley and a truck and drove 45 miles to his house. Gave him $350 and signed the pink slip. Threw the car onto the dolley and towed it home! Now it's chilling in my front yard waiting to be repaired. I need to replace passenger axle and drivers side brake caliper. Along with front rotors and brakes. Also need to weld a hairline crack on the exhaust manifold before I can SMOG it for registration. Lol. Sorry for the long story but that is the story.

I am also a 6gc.net member under the screen name iLoveMySilly97 for 2.5 yrs and owned my 1997 Toyota Celica GT AKA Silly97 for 2.5 years and have done some mods too it. Here's a few pics below of my two Celicas. :)

Welcome from the UK. Let's have some more pics of the ST162, what are your long term plans for it ?

  5. Well......I finally had the chance to tear the front suspension apart to find some damage. The previous owner was really lucky the drivers side wheel didn't fly off. When I took off the axle nut the whole hub fell off by itself along with the ball bearings.....Also the passenger side cv axle wasn't even locked in the transmission and the bracket bolts were missing.....so yea. Call the previous owner lucky. I'll post more pics of the car itself once it's back on the road. SOON! :D

    welcome! good buy!

i wonder how the dirtbag will put up with your 6gc, 3sge vs 5sfe?

i have those advans on my mr2 as well haha.

  7. I'm not sure actually. Lol. I'd say my 6gc will get it off the launch until maybe 60mphish then the st162 will eventually catch up because of the gear ratio and lack of high end power on the FE head.
Yea I converted to 114.3 on my 6gc and bought the set with new tires for $700.
