    Thanks steve.
is basically straight and clean. A light respray on bonnet will be needed.
the name pingu as plans are black car white rims and we thought it'd be better that way instead of spongebob and going all yellow lol.

Well last weekend we had no kids for a day and so i we decided to work a bit on the car.
We took the wiper arms off the car and sanded the surface rust back and cleaned them down a bit.
Then we put a coat of primer on for respraying at a later date as the weather has turned wet and crappy for time being.

whilst my wife sprayed the wiper arms i got to work on the celica and began ripping the suspension out and lowering it.
Rear shocks are ok but front's will need replacing.
Will be going KYB all round for her on King spring lows.

Not fussed about having taken suspension apart and needing to redo it all later on as it gave me an idea of what i needed fixed.
However it made me add things to the list of stuff to buy.

Once car was lowered and temporary st185 rims were in place i set to work on installing the stereo into the correct place and adding the wallet holder underneath to neaten it up.
repaired the rear quater passenger trim as the felt material piece had fallen off so i cleaned all the gunk off and reset the little hooks into place that hold it on.
    came up nicely.
took a few engine pics to check numbers with the vic roads offices to see what number they needed to have car on the road.

and also in the process of making a rear parcel shelf at work for the car to have alpine type r speakers installed into at a later date also lol.

anyways have a look and if there's anything else i can think of i will add that.

got a bit done but am wanting to do soo much more to the car if only we had the extra funds to get most of the stuff we want lol.
wish tax time would hurry up so we can do more work lol.

    Thanks mate.
i want the interior in my car also but won't take the luxuries away from the wife lol.

So far not much to update on the car. aside from 28th June i am doing a day trip to South Australia to pick up a bodykit so looks like a total of 18hrs driving to get from my house to destination then back home again.
will have a mate with me so we can take shifts of driving

also have an alternator adaptor plug to accomodate for a newer model celica alternator from st204.

    Thanks Steve,
Slowly coming along. but feeling better at how little needed mechanically for it to be up to scratch.
Now to find the time and energy to do a dash swap in it and save for paint.
But happy with how it has all come along.

Still need to install raybrig headlights and the new speakers but that's not high priority atm lol

    Well massive thread revival lol.

Thought id do this for you all to show i haven't disappeared.
Since last update there has been a lot so will add pics after i update thread.

Last you all heard was getting timing belt done.
    well....
We have had a good run with the car and installed some ray brig headlights to brighten up the road, i also with my wife have done an entire interior swap with the spare gtr we found until we can afford to get the original seats retrimmed back into leather.
brand new carpet, swapped out the old and cracked dash for a new second hand one in way better condition.
once that was all done we installed front and rear sway bars.

we also began working on the body of the car and sanding back all rust and paint as we were planning on doing a respray ourselves in our garage at home.
however a great friend came around and saw what we were up to and told me to not touch the car or even look at it i will make it worse lol.

After he told me this he offered to paint our car for us and panelbeat it also where needed.
we didnt refuse the help as he wanted to do this for us so over cup weekend in nov 2015 he took the car and began his work.

once the car was resprayed we went over it with a fine tooth comb and needed a new front windscreen so called around to get one and found a decent guy to come out and remove it for us only to find rust.
Instantly got down to the shop and bought what was needed and put my wife to work on fixing it as she wanted to work on her car.
We were on a bit of a dead line with having the car finished for a particular car show held by our car club so worked as quick and efficient as possible.

once all finished we had a new windscreen booked in and sent the car off for a rwc (road worthy certificate)/mot for you englishmen out there lol.
Had the car pass with no problems at all as everythiung was either brand new or near new as i didnt want my wife driving a car that had dodgy stuff done to it.

as soon as roadworthy was done called up our club firend to have the car checked over for club registration and he instantly came down and set us up to apply for club rego.
by this stage is was 1 dec 2015 and show was on 6th dec 2015 so had to get to the registration office to get it all finalised which was all done by the 4th dec 2015 all ready for our show.

we have done a couple of shows with it but have also added some new orange calipers for the finishing touch on the name pingu, painted inside the wheel wells black.
we also stumbled across some front st205 brakes for $50 so eventually when we find a set of rears we will begin working out a way to get them to fit for our next project together.

other items to be finished on the list is fixing up the trims on the car to satin black as our mate who painted the car left the trims for us as he ran out of time doing it all and we wanted to do them ourselves.
going to be painting a pingu mural under the bonnet.
    extractors and decent exhaust system
    retrim original seats
replace gay looking chrome shifter with stock shifter
finish off rear parcel shelf and get rid of the tacky old one we have
    tint windows
    add braided brake lines
and find out about wiring a horn up to say noot noot lol

please enjoy all the pics in following post
