About a month ago, I got my first car. A 1989 Toyota Celica Gt convertible. I'm pretty happy about it! I am a 16 year old, so any car would've been sufficient. The car had only one previous owner, who purchased the car in '89 and had owned the car since then. The car has about 150,000 miles on it, and has all the manuals, and the body is in good shape except for the paint in the hood. The best part was it was pretty cheap! 500 dollars took the car home. Of course, this sounds too good to be true, and it was. The car doesn't run. The previous owner had parked it with gasoline in the tank for at least 14 years. This, of course, is no big deal. I recently drained, removed, and cleaned the gas tank, and am looking forward to putting the tank back in. I'm only waiting for the filler hose because the old one broke. Overall, I'm very pleased with the car. I plan on bringing it back to life, and enjoying it! Tell me what you think!
good find... just a piece of advice, keep it as stock as possible... or if you are planning of modding it, please do it right... you may find it difficult to find after market parts for the car so please only use those that will work...
