Hi I am having HUGE issues with figure out what I need. What is this bracket on the left? The right is a st165. I have an 86 Celica with 3sgte and tranny from a 90 or 91 v6 camry. My cable snapped and now I can't find the right set up.

I think you want 165 cables and 165 bracket.

Anyone have any clue? What happens if I use 205 cables and a 165 bracket

lol well it acts exactly like my st162 cable I have in there right now. no 5th and reverse.
but I was thinking maybe some oone else has had a ddifferent result and maybe there is something really weird with my setup.

oh yeah and some of the later e series cables are 2 different sizes. there are a bunch of options. but what you have seems like it'll work.

Funny this comes up, I couldn't find a set of shifter cables at my wreckers so I took a set out of a V6 Camry. Apart from needing spacers for the clips that hold the cables onto the gear lever assembly they seem to fit fine.

Yeah every. Form I ever read or posted in I was told some form of all trac. Cable and bracket had to be used. I don't believe that's the case with my setup. I'm just glad that what I fabbed up works great
