Mysterious plug in engine bay does anyone know what it is?????

    The tile is quite clear I have a mysterious plug in my engine bay I've looked every were and can't seem to find the male to it, my O2 sensor isn't plugged in but it totally different so I'm thinking I have the wrong O2 sensor or the plug does nothing!!

    not sure on the rhd layout, but iirc on usdm its the reverse light switch. plug on the tranny is by the linkage.

    -on my way out the door. i can take a peek later.

    It does not have the right shape for the tranny reverse plug.
    It does not connect to anything on the engine or tranny.

    It connects to the engine bay harness. I'll see if I can get a picture

    what engine do you have ?Its not any part of a 88 3sge engine harness[​IMG]

    It must be for the O2sensor because that's the only thing that's not plugged in!!
    what does an O2sensor plug look like??

    Any Toyota O2 sensor I have ever seen is a square!

    my o2 sensor is a 1 wire circle plug. not two wires.

    my O2 is a 4 wire one as below with square connector(bit fuzzy) :

    Yours is like mine but you have a 3sgte, is that O2 sensor the same as in the 3sge???
