A few celica fan mates of mine and myself have put together a facebook group to have a local community, celica-based 'hub' to organising cruises, events and sharing stories and wisdom for all celicas around the south-east Queensland region.

We have 2 gen 4's (st162s) and a gen 5 member already added, with a gen 1 mate of mine whom will join shortly. Out of the 4 we already have two aftermarket implants, a gen 2 3sge and 1 caldina 3sgte conversion with updates and wisdom to share.

If your keen on monthly meetups, or drop of the hat weekend cruises or photoshoots etc, then come on down! They don't have to be shiny (mines oxidized, has zip ties on the air dam and rust), heck it can even run on 3 cylinders, we would love your company. Its about the pride and history, a group of enthusiasts.

On facebook.com, after logging in, type in the search bar 'Celica Car Club Brisbane' and say g'day

Good idea, if just wanna round up guys, go places and help each other I don't think
    you even need a website

I might do the same, maybe get a few more owners on here and some to cruise with.

Would def like to meet up next time I'm in Brizzy. Had family in Pullenvale but they moved to
    Buderim, so that's a downer

bugger. Well your more than welcome... i think we will just stick to the facebook idea. If people press like or subscribe (or wateva it is) they should see our post updates in "Home' on facebook.

so far, first cruise is looking like Saturday evening 28th May. Its all up in the air. Its just about hanging out and meeting other enthusiasts who share the same passion. Thinking dinner and meet up at BP Stapylton (big car park at back) followed by a cruise to somewhere with decent lighting for photos. Maybe an undercover carpark (EG hyperdome) but its not that interesting there. Maybe decent enough for a start anyways...

    we are up for suggestions.

Was thinking the spit, but I have heard of alot of police harassment on any vehicle that looks beyond the ordinary.

I've just set up a page on F/book for NZ Celicas, it's open and all are welcome.
There's been talk of a NZ Celica club, GT4 club, Celica Auckland etc, etc for ages
but nobody got off their asses.

I'm new to F/book but but it seems that's where the masses are nowdays. Let's see
how many cars surface there and entice them to join .net.
I expect heaps of TA's and ZZ's too but if it helps them get together - why not?

Just let the members decide - most don't turn up anyways, so Im more interested in getting
know people and find spares/swaps/wrecks etc

    I'm not on Facebook

I'm not on Facebook, is that a prerequisite for Brisbane Celica Club BCC?
