i have my cruise control button where the centre button is, it's harder to find a button for a different feature for the dashboard area buttons. the centre button actually looks good. i've had to press the dashboard-side heater a few times because the timer ran out but my car wasn't defrosted yet

I have a spare foglight button for the dash.. I guess I'm going to keep the heater button on the dash.. :)
I haven't had that problem with the timer.. Can the timer be adjusted? There is some sort of switch in the button, maybe that adjusts the timer duration.. Shouldn't the cruise button be somewhere near the steering wheel? I use the cruise every time I drive, and I would get frustrated, if I had to reach for the button :D

Personally, I like the button to the left of the gauge shield. Even though it has a short timer I think the placement is better. And whether or not that is stock depends on the market and if its pre or post facelift. Same goes for the cruise control switch. Kashohan, where is your cruise switch? I noticed that your center console doesn't have the cut-out for it like mine does. If you wouldn't like reaching over the radio to use it then that would suggest it doesn't reside over there. That said, where else would it be? Also, in my car the cut-out next to the radio isn't used for anything; It just has a blank plate to fill it.

there is a cut out in the centre console, just hard to see! he's got an a/m cruise set up apparently too. the preface cruise button goes beside the radio and the facelift goes beside the handbrake for usdm

I don't believe so. I see an outline where the cut-out is supposed to be, but I don't believe that it was actually cut out during it's manufacture.

I have an aftermarket cruise. The switch is installed behind the steering wheel on the plastic, I'll take a pic once I get my car assembled.. :) I didn't mean to critisize about where the cruise button should be. Just my opinion. Sorry if I offended someone :)
