FS: ST162 Celica Digital Instrument Cluster with Fuel Sender & Plugs

Discussion in 'Parts for Sale' started by Full-Throttle, Jun 28, 2012.

  1. Hey guys,

I've got an ST162 Celica digital instrument cluster available, complete with the fuel sender and the plugs. Everything required for installation. Removed from a RHD GT-R model and is in excellent working condition. Only travelled 157,584km (97,918 miles). Very rare, especially with the fuel sender and plugs.

$250 NZD ($198 USD, $203 CAD, $196 AUD, €159) + shipping from New Zealand. Can provide a no obligation shipping quote to any country worldwide.

    Sold!

how much for the sender only?

  3. I'm only willing to sell the sender with the cluster sorry. Perhaps you could buy the whole lot and keep the cluster as a spare?

I allready have 2 clusters and my car is LHD....so really, how much for the sender ? :) lol

btw, if you're not willing to part (I can understand) can you please provide me with the partnumber of it? Maybe i can source it otherwise.

  5. Fair enough ;). Still not willing to sell the sender by itself though sorry, as I'll be left with a unit that's no good to anyone. There are no part numbers on the sender unfortunately. The only numbers engraved into it from factory are 20260.

i think lonewolf what hes saying is the sender is 250nz and you get a free cluster....lol

  9. Unfortunately not sorry. I've sold AE92 Corolla and AE86 Levin digital clusters in the past and know how important it is for the sender to be included. If you buy the whole lot maybe you could use the fuel sender and keep the cluster for spare parts when you find a manual one. The replacement cost for the computer that controls the digital display is $2,400 USD alone, so it pays to have spares ;)

    Lol, exactly :D

If you find another one you should also pull the dimmer switch as it is different from the analog clusters dimmer switch

  12. Good to know. Thanks for the info. Speaking of dimmer switches, does anybody actually use theirs? I can't think of a single situation where dimming the instrument cluster would be useful, unless you had extremely sensitive eyes, lol.

i did regularly when it was my daily. When I drive @night I always turn it down and up when it's not quite dark yet. But I have Bluevision bulbs which are much brighter than the stock ones.

  14. Ohh ok, in the case of aftermarket bulbs I can see how the dimmer would come in handy. For me personally I'd want the standard bulbs at max brightness all the time, especially due to the awesomeness of the digital cluster :D

I don't set it to the brightest, well, really never (but me too have replaced the oem green bulbs).
It's also a matter of giving the drivers the oppurtinity to set it as they like, even if they never touch it again.

    JDM's don't have a dimmer switch? did your's?
Could we use another sender? pity you didn't measure the resistance on the sender

    Where in NZ are you?

I have a manual RHD cluster without the sender but has the plugs, can't remember who wanted one

  17. The one I had for sale didn't have the dimmer switch, although if I remember correctly I recall seeing one on the dash but I didn't realise that it was different to the dimmer switch fitted to analogue cluster models.

There's a good chance that you could use another sender. The AE92 Corolla digital fuel sender is similar, although finding one of those would be just as hard, if not harder. I can supply the part number for the Celica digital fuel sender if you don't already have it. You might still be able to buy one brand new from Japan.

I'm in Auckland, same as you :)
