Kinda wanna do that 1MZFE V6 swap like Jim did now... XD (Anyone know if it costed him more or less than a GTE swap?)

Can't stop dreaming!!! BEAMS is also growing on me again. :ugh (Saw a post on an mr2 forum that it could be done for 1500... :shock
Is that possible for a '162??? (Assuming you can get a BEAMS for 1000.)

    I want something NA now.
    decisions decisions...

It depends on the engine you buy. If it's from a Celica and has everything you need, and you don't have to buy anything else, it's possible. But even if you buy a perfect engine for 1000, you still have to pay shipping, pay the swap, and buy some service parts.

    Re: (To be) Stanced Celica

    ^thanks for the advice. :)

So I found these on craigslist:

    15x7, 4.25" Backspace (+6 offset), 5x114.3, $150obo for 5 rims.

What do you guys think? If I buy these, I'll need 5x100 to 5x114.3 adapters ($130-$160), and hubcentric rings (67.1mm to 54.1mm) ($10-30). Anything else I'd need to get these to fit my '162? Total would be between $290-$340.

The Diamond Racing Wheels I originally wanted are $438 (4 rims) shipped to my house. 15x7, 4" backspace (0 offset), white, and they would be 5x100 so no need for adapters if I stick with my original plan. I might also need hubcentric rings...

Do you guys think I should go with the ones I found on craigslist? A little less lip, but it's $100 less...

    Thanks. :)

I would wait and get the right one I wanted. It's only a hundred bucks more. Now if it was $300 then maybe I'd opt for a similar looking one. Would rather do it once and do it right, right? :cool

Cause the diamond racing wheels look exactly like that with a teeny bit more lip

Not even an inch, not much of a noticeable difference! So it's the same design right? If it is go for it!

lol I've seen that Celica a gajillion times. XD Namely because it's one of the only 4th gens I've ever seen with low offset wheels.
I like how it looks (except for the front grill), but I don't wanna get fender flares. Don't feel like cutting up my car yet.

Seen that car alot over the web as well. I love wheels that have lip, but that one in particular isn't my preference. I'm very picky. Still haven't found the exact wheel I want. That or I have forgotten the one I've wanted.

Diamond racing steelies (same as aero steelies) are sick because they can be made to any size, offset etc. Ones you found look pretty sweet and would probably give you a good stance; only issue with them imo is that they are heavy. This is probably the only reason keeping me from getting them for my Corolla. lol, my Corolla is slow enough; with these heavy steelies it'd be even worse :lol2
