yes, its like I said in another thread; worldwide, the 1.6 engine isnt as popular as I thought (and as it is here in Portugal).

Damn, I want those cupholders! :cheers

I also had a a bit of a braking problem with my celia.
Rain+80km/h+little sleep+crappy tires = 1fiat punto in the scrap yard - (front bumper, grid, aircon and radiator for my celia). Could've been worse though.

I love your white one really really bad (mine was white originally). Is it the redtop it is fitting or is it painted?

Keep the pics comming, I see you are handy with the camera :cool

    Cheers

The 1.6 4age becomes more and more rare here aswell, my explenation would be : the 4age is (unfortunely) very populair for swaps to corrolas, starlets and mr2, also in kitcars you can find them like the lotus super 7 kitcar. So lotsa good 4age-celicas end up at scrapyards with an empty enginebay . :eek:hnoes Next to the old FORD Cossy it seems a very populair swap for track-tools.

My 4age is the 7rib black/redtop. Toyota started to use this for celicas in late 1988 in combination with a catalyzer.(Correct me if im wrong)

Ive seen 3 types of 4ages produced in the 4th gen: bleutops in 1986, blacktops in 1987/88 and black/redtops in 1988 till 89. (again correct me if im wrong)

Here are some detailed pics were you can see the 7rib black/redtop.

No I still need a centerring or adapterring (dont know the english name) its 68mm atm and I think I need 54.1MM I believe, still need to messure up and order. But the first thing Im saving for are some new stock calipers at the front. needs to be replaced as the old ones are 22 years old :naughty it still works fine but the rubber seals are worn and its kinda rusty so its better to get fresh stuff for the next 22 years to come

btw Im selling the Toyota starlet (1997) soon and see if we can do with just 1 car.
Selling it because its just standing there doing nearly nothing and rotting away slowely in front of the house (yes they rust badly, even faster than the 92-96 model)

Ill keep it updated when I get there.

    Greetings, Stefan

Stefan, you'll have to think about your daughter in the future if you're going to sell the Starlet. She might be fine sitting in the back of the Celica for now, but as she gets bigger, she's going to feel rather quashed. Don't know what the traffic laws in Holland, but in UK , a child has to be in a child seat up to a certain height or age. If the laws did away with the chid seat, the back seats in the Celica are very comfortable for a young child. My daughter is 5, and she loves the seats in the Celica.
