    Hello Celica friends,

As a new member of the forum its time to tell a little about myselve.

Im from the Netherlands living in my little town Hellevoetsluis, not far from Rotterdam.
Me and my wife have a lovely daughter, 11 months old as I type...

I owned 4 celicas 4th gen started with a silver crappy 2 liter GT, had rust and holes all over the place but it triggered something ever sinds...

The 2nd Celica I got was a pretty mint 1.6 gt-i, it had a bobykit on it that was 20 years old and mounted by a german tunerhouse. The previus owner did a duo tone paintjob that didnt do the car much good but it was in a very good condition overall.

The 3rd Celica was the 1.6 st it had the 4a engine so thats about 86 bhp and all standard layout.
It was a nice car to drive especially in the town/city, it really made you wanna cruse. Allthough it was a nice ride, I missed the extra HP and also loved the way the 4age reved. After a long search I finally found another Gt-i.

The celica I have atm is the 1.6 16V from 1989.
It is pretty much original from top to bottum, 13inch 185/70 rims, OEM air intake/exhaust line, OEM suspension. I cleaned the car a little bit; the front toyota logo is removed and all the stickers are removed+the black parking strips are gone. Also I removed the inner part of my cat. for the extra sound/HP.

The colour is Super White nr. 0440 I believe.
It has power steering, front disc-brakes drums at the back and no ABS.
The 4age is the 7 rib, bigport so 116HP with cat.

Anyways its a heavens gift...this st162.net :bowdown It gives me all the info Im looking and its nice to read all those other celica topics :popcorn

So, enough said, didnt happen if there aint no pics right?

Unfortunely I dont have any pics on my computer from my first celica 2.0L gt :banghead

my 2nd I owned with 4age inside [IMG] while on a trip to Italy, it had 16inch 205/50 rims and lowered with springs on OEM shocks.

    More to come soon..

More pics of the 2nd celica I had:

this was a picture taken just after I bought it. notice the car isnt lowered yet and still has a red spoiler at the back and red headlights, later I painted it black.
It had the 7rib 4age with open air filter and replaced the cat. from the exhaust line.

[IMG]At the back of the Celica you see the toyota starlet my wife still drives as her daily.

[IMG] some pictures from trip to Italy, I drove 5200 KM in 3 weeks that holyday and it did what it had to do. :auto

[IMG] Here is a picture from my lovely wife (hates to look at cameras btw :) )

As all good things seems to come to an end......once.... this is what happend after a 60km/h headon to a bridge fence (solid steal) :sad5 The snow on the pictures gives you an idea how this horrible reshaping happend.... :banghead [IMG]

The enginebay moved up backwards and the steering and drivetrain was off line and bended :toetap05

As my upload internet-speed is veerrrryyyy sllloooooowwww...

So I was back to the drawingboard again after wrecking my 2nd Celica.

After some time I got the chance to get my hands on a red 1.6 st with the 4a engine (86HP) from 1987.
Didnt happen if there aint no pics ye?

[IMG]the day I bought it, it came all stock, only the rims are from a 5th gen celica 1.6sti :naughty

It came out on a very standard layout, no spoiler, no power steering(this deffently is the best setup for a 4th gen imo), only disc-brakes in the front, crappy seats and pretty standard dashboard, no electric windows, and no adjustable steeringwheel. Also no speakers were instaled in the back as standard. This Celica 4th gen was the cheapest edition to buy at the time from our Toyota-dealership.

Some more pics as Im pretty sure youll like lots of pictures :) these pics are taken after the car was lowered on the original shocks.

Here are pictures of the 4a engine all stock.

[IMG] right side of car picture

After enjoying this Celica for a while I started searching for another Celica to replace it....

This time it had to be 4age powered again as we come to my 4th Celica I owned and still drive this day as my daily drive.

As you now all know my history list with gen 4 its time to introduce my latest car to you....you bet.....it became a Celica 4th gen. :driving

This 1.6 Gt-i didnt came on me easely, had visited a couple Gt-i s but were badly maintained.
After a long search on the web I found a dealer who had absolutely no clu what a perfect Gt-i he had for sale.

I offered the dealer 350Euros and he got my old celica st. :iagree

It has done 159000KM so far and bought it on 149000KM.
Ofcourse there was maintaince to be done:clutch replaced, back brake lines replaced and added a new battery. And 2 new tyres. Also placed a new OEM exhaust.

In the near future my front calipers will be replaced for new OEM brakes, the drum brakes at the back are pretty foolproof after 22 years.

Didnt happen if there aint no pics.....

    The day I bought it.

haha. by the way, are all the mirrors there foldable? and you're LHD? if you are i'm looking for the mirror bases, as well as the right side mirror piece. any yards that might have those? since i have the jdm foldable ones that is biased for RHD models:

@ eNtraxGT88: think it only came out with this folding mirror on our LHD celicas here in the Netherlands.

    Very interesting, that's the 1st 4A-FE I've seen - was it AT160?

Tell your wife us boys like to see beautiful cars and women, you are a lucky man

    Yes its a AT160 serial nr: AT16007015760

You can still find them circulating at local internet for sale, for what I think the 4a-fe is a very foolproof engine becouse its so basic manufactured. I have seen them doing 500.000 KM in corollas before the bearings said bye bye

On the down side it is the most under-motorised 4th gen ever produced so that means 1-100KM/h in 13+ seconds :auto

    You choose :)
