I got an old "put out to the curb" PC working... it's amazing what people throw away these days
    Dell p4-2gb, 1gb ram, 32mb geforce2 video card/directx9 compatible, cdrw/dvdr
Thinking about upgrading the video card and buy some racing games drool5

I know there's toooons of games out there AND multiple versions of the same game ie... Gran turismo I/II/III/IV etc... I'm just curious what people enjoy the most.

ps2/xbox/wii console games excluded since I'm NOT going to go buy one period

I love the old Need for Speeds. Those were easily the best.

For the money to upgrade video, memory etc it's cheaper buy a 2nd hand xbox!
I got tired of PC upgrades, freezes, controller issues, changing settings, so just bought an xbox for $30,
another $30 for the chip, $100 for a 250GB and it makes the PC look silly with a P3 900Mhz & 128MB ram
Network games takes seconds to run the cable and configure
2nd hand games are $10ea at the games shop, there are over 100 loaded onto the HDD

Don't get me wrong, PC's are good - It's the O/S that sux, small screens etc
Toca Race Driver, F1 2005, CM Rally, MotoGP etc were my fav PC games

I'll have to pass on torque, says 512mb graphics card eek5 that's retarded. I'll research the other titles to see what the requirements are.

Almost finished NFS-U1, cool game - only1 celi in it though - 7th gen

honestly, it is hands down the best car game I have ever played.

Few mulitplayer bugs to iron out, but the customising and driving of the car is just so good.

I spend hours just tuning cars, looking at telementry and working up a tune for one car on one track.

You can lose weeks of you life in this game. bowdown bowdown bowdown bowdown drool5

nfs-u1, 2 are limited to 3D graphics directx9/32 mb cards (which really isn't all that bad) but compared to a 360 game, it's laughable. The customization aspect is waaay simplified in both, but still intertaining to a point. nsf-u1 falls short a bit since it lacks the tuning/dyno options that nsf-u2 has (not to be confused with nfs-mw) Beyond nfs-u2, processor/graphics requirements skyrocket so I'm stuck.

    ANYWAY, here's my supra in nfs-u1 drool5

    Try Toca Touring Cars,
Better graphix than PS1, loads of action and will scream on your PC.
Another favourite (I still have it) was DTR Sprintcars - Loads of fun and setups tuning etc are vital,
there is also a Dirtcar version.
Toca Race driver is the same game as on xbox, it's a career game with heaps of different formulas, the racing is really difficult

I could never get into NFS, points for ricing cars, racing on streets, cops etc - dumb?.
The only part I could enjoy were the drift circuits

There are also a couple of really good WRC Rally games, forget the early McRae ones - they were really bad.
The WRC games of the late 90's had ST185, 205's, Corollas etc

I heard Colin Mcrae Rally is siiick - need a 64 mb graphics card for it to work though.

I'll check out some of those other titles too Thanks!
