New SMF class in SCCA (maybe).

    I was happy to find out last month that SCCA might have an SMF class next year. For those who don't know what SMF is (or would be), if your car fits SM or SM2 and is FWD , you can race in SMF (F = FWD). They are doing this to separate the FWD cars from the AWD and RWD cars. If they do make this class offical, I am going to push our club to forming an OSPF class. OSPF would be for any car that fits either of the OSP classes and is FWD. This would finally separate me from the fast V8 RWD cars in my class!

    great news, this coupled with the car changes surely wil put you to the very front of you class!

    It's a lot more fun than drag racing. I did that for about 12 years before switching to auto-cross. It's a lot more fun and the skills you develop are usable on the streets, well not city streets, more like long windy roads.

    i've delved into it a little but i never feel my car is ever up to spec.
