There are head differences between the Rev 1 and Rev 2 3SGTE. However the RC intercooler and heat exchanger should be a bolt on affair for a Rev 1 3SGTE.
no, the rc IC requires a little work to get to fit, the same amount of work to install a stock 185 TM. the 205 intercooler bolts up much easier.
i put an RC tranny in my trac and it wasnt any harder than the stock one, the only rea difference i could find in the two was the little fork thing (cant remember what its called) is different. sounds like a good buy though!
If the RC conversion was done properly, what should this car be able to push (HP and torque)? I saw pics of the interior, amazingly clean and rip-free (although not leather unfortunately) - and he says he has another interior in storage that goes w/ it. Assuming rust is a minor or non-issue (it's a CA car) if I go to look at it, what kinda things should I look for and what are the turbo specific questions I should ask? This may be my best bet for an alltrac in good shape and I'm seriously considering it, but I've got no experience w/ turbos. What would be the signs of a f'ed up RC conversion that might lead to big problems down the the road?

Thanks.
That isn't an RC intercooler, thus I call BS on the RC conversion. My understanding of the ad meant that he had the RC intercooler and ECU, but they were not installed.
"The engine and transmission were upgraded previously to the Carlos Sainz edition (very limited production) - every bit of the transmission and engine are stronger than the factory originals." "Also included with this car, is the ultra rare Carlos Sainz edition ECU and Air-to-Water intercooler." Two questions: 1) Is it gonna be CA street legal (smoggable) w/ the claimed upgrades? 2) Wouldn't you need the RC ECU and intercooler to have any clue if the engine is performing better than factory? Sounds like the BS call is probably the way to go and skip this car..... so much for finally getting an Alltrac
that intake, intercooler, valve cover, cylinder head all apear to be ST165 not Carlos Sainz. Dead giveaway is that it has EGR! CS engines did not have EGR just like all JDM engines had no EGR. This is a CS engine from my own car.
The seller is either misinformed or a BSer, as said above thats no CS/RC engine. walk away mate, there will be others!
if you want to go to PA a guy on alltrac.net has a beauty of a trac with broken diff cradle. It needs to be saved before its parted!
