ya so my user name says 87, i must have mistyped it, but it is a 88 celica ST. It is a very slow project, seeing as I am broke at the moment while working on my 95 celica, which is my daily driver. and it is in storage, that is why there is a camper next to it. [/img]
I have had it about a year, the only major damage is the passenger side fender, which i already have a new one, just have to paint it. It needs the motor and tranny put in, but the interior is pretty clean.
well, the guy i bought it from still has the engine and tranny, i just need to get over there and get it. only problem is I dont have an engine hoist. I am not sure what it is exactly, but I am thinking he said it was a 22R but i am not sure. I did some research and I believe it came with a 3sfe since it is a ST model. But i just need to either barrow a hoist and or somthing so i can move the engine to my house and get it in. It will be a while before it gets done.
definetly not a 22r, that was the generation before...and your right its a 3sfe.. We`ll be here when swap time comes 8)
While the engine is already out, you may as well put a 3S-GE or even a 3S-GTE in if you can get one cheap. Well thats what i would do in your situation.

I almost bougth a 6th gen, But those 5s motors are such dogs..i couldt see buying a car that cost $4,000 When i could get a supra with 250 hp for the same amount..But in any case ..Looking wise , i love the body of the 6th G..Shoulda came in a optional v6 or turbo 4 banger
