what would you have charged to make and apply these vinyls??

I was charged $170, and ALL of the orange is already starting to form little bubbles sort of wherever water sits...

Ok first of all, the bubbles. Installer traped water and/or air, not an uncommon thing. Installation quality depends on the material, application technique and ability of the installer. Only way to get rid of them is popping them with a pin and try to smoothe them out. Heat gun, or a hot hair dryer will help. If you use heat be careful. If the vinyl gets too hot it will shrivel-up and/or melt. Wet the area a little and your finger and smoothe. I had to do this alot lately at work - winter time teperature works against you with vinyl. (That Z3 was a pita since it was 30 something degrees out and no heated garage to help:? ) ANYWAY, that will get out the bubbles and you probably won't see them at the distance you will be typically viewing them from.

About the product/service you recieved. Depending on the quality of the "vinyl", That's an average price. You probably got gloss opaque 2 mil+ vinyl which is pretty decent. That price would/should enclude art creation/conversion, typesetting, materials, prep(cut, weed, tape), and installation. Probably $50 or so went towards just installation.

    Could I do it cheaper?
    Yes.
Would the sign shop I work at do it cheaper?
    No
Not surprised comming from a guy who changes his sig every other week:p
IMO logo is cool, secondary fonts "cancun"/ "brush script" don't really complement the logo :?

Ok so, what would I do?
    Set-up the art myself.
Submit an illustrator/coreldraw file to a sigh shop, have them cut it and outright sell it to me.
    Do all the weeding/taping/install myself.
This would cut total cost in 1/2.

Yeah I didn't have to pay for it my boss did at least so that was good....

They're not so much bubbles...they're like "pools" on all the curves that could've held water....now the vinyls not stuck there anymore...

I'll probably just take it back to the shop and get him to fix it....

pools? :chin: Pics would help I suppose, but I think I know what you mean. Weather change messed with it maybe. Im pretty sure a heat gun would be the fix. If you're not paying for it, take it back to the place to see if they can fix it. :?

Please can you put up some detailed pics?
Your photobucket pic isn't linked either

Small bubbles will disappear over 2-4 weeks in the sun. The vinyl is porous and also stretches and contracts with changes in temp. Never hit bubbles with a heat gun - they will explode!
Best is to prick them with a fine pin and then gently press the vinyl down heading towards the pin hole. Then heat the area with a hairdryer, heat guns are killers in the hands of the inexperienced.

The "pooling" sounds like POP-OFF, happens when
    a) The vinyl is stretched over/into a curve
    b) The finished product wasn't heated to 100 deg/C to make it "SET". And now it's trying to get back to it's original shape.

If the vinyl looks like water is running behind it - the surface wasn't cleaned properly!

On ski slopes we use blowtorches to heat signs/poles etc before applying vinyl or they fall off like you describe.
In winter we use a propane gas furnace to heat the shop, sounds like your shop needs to invest in some?

The glue is a gel which is liquid when hot and solid when cold, it's always easier to remove old vinyl by heating it up first. The glue takes around 24hrs to set properly, ie if it was applied and you went straight into the cold, the chances are it never had time to set, the glue went hard and the vinyl "fell off".
