yes remove your wood-lining first so that you can knock out from inside out with sort of dolly or even a piece of flat wood on the top side use small hammer slowly knocking it up with wood on the outside pushing it down wards reasons for that are if only knocking it up with no support then it will damage the plate once that if out and fairly level then you will do it the the other way round but this time use a file hammer from the top that hammer will crimp the plate so that it's not loose.hope that
    helps

We took a jack and a 2X4 and tryed to pop it up but as you can see in the pic we didnt get far. Ive heard heating the metal then using compressed air can pop it out.

Will they not work because of the ECT Lights in the Tac?

Its been a little bit since I updated the thread. So heres what's going on right now:
-Power Steering still leaking...Think maybe a pinched O-Ring and a loose hose -_-
-Finally got the Trans fluid changed. Stuff was disgusting. Was never changed
-CV's still knocking. Gotta get it changed eventually
-Eventually going to take the headliner out (again) to fix the dents in the roof
-I got some polk audios not too long ago, need to do some modding to make them fit
-And finally still need to put on the new gauges and EDM corners!

Also when Im sitting with the car in Drive or Reverse im getting a rattling under the hood. if its in neutral it goes away. Any thoughts?

just something loose in the engine bay that starts to vibrate when the engine is low rpm, when you go from neutral to drive/reverse, the rpm lowers.
if you stall the converter to a bit of a higher rpm (1200rpm or so), the vibrations also go away.

Going through everyone else's posts, I realized I never mentioned how I got my celica. The story starts back in winter of 2011. I was a senior in high school and looking for my very first car. I had looked at everything from jeep cherokees to accords. I had decided that I was going to save up and buy a 90's civic. I was working at pizza hut at the time so I knew it was going to take a while. One day at church, I was talking to a friend and the topic of looking for a car came up. She drives a white 89 GT convert daily and I had seen it, but never known what it was. Anyway, we were talking and she mentioned that she had a couple (yes a couple) more celica's I could come and look at. I went over and low and behold there were two other ST162's in her driveway! She had a Black GT-S which I eventually bought, and a blue GT with the rust bug :(. The GT-S had a tree branch fall on the roof and damaged the seal where the sunroof is so the car leaked for a solid year because it was'nt being driven at the time. I got in and started her up and at first I was a little skeptical. The car was revving on its own and there was mildew EVERYWHERE, but the mileage was good (only 107,000). It was also dark when I looked at it the first time,so I decided to give it another chance and come back during the day. Im so glad I did. Me and my dad went and looked the next day, checking everything so I could make a decision. We put some gas in the tank and the revving stopped so that was a plus! The car had a certain appeal to me so I told her we had a deal! For the next 4-5 weeks I would go over and work on it and drive it around the lake. I had caught celicaitus! Finally I bought the car for $750 and brought her home for the first time! It took a couple of months to get her road worthy, but around may, I was finally getting to drive her daily! After I had her for a couple of months, I was just googling around on the internet and found ST162.net! Also with the car, came some dealer books from when the car was new! I am only the third owner of this car!! I know its a long post, but thats the story of how I came to be with a 1989 Black GT-S now known as the Batmobile!

nice shoes bro... im in the process of refurbishing my 7th gen rims... i just pulled a trigger and bought new set of rubbers for it... 195/50's though... are you currently riding at stock height? any issues with the 205/50 tires (rubbing or anything?)...

i'll probably end up lowering my hatch with B&G's...
